Quanah Parker crosses the cultural borders to the extent of becoming one of the Whites by having their "blood". He crosses them because of his desire for power. He says that he wants to have power like the Whites and asks what to do in order to achieve this. He sees that the lives of the Whites are better than the Injun's lives, so he was determined to get in contact with the Whites to learn their ways. He didn't like the ways of the Natives. He goes to Texas to meet John Parker. He goes out of his way and travel to meet a White man to learn about their cultural ways.
